Bequests

Include the Schizophrenia Research Institute in your will and leave a long-term legacy for the benefit of future generations.

When you choose to make a bequest to the Schizophrenia Research Institute, you will be giving future generations a better chance against schizophrenia. Bequest gifts are an important and easy way to help and need not be monetary.

  • The residue of your estate after all debts have been paid and all gifts distributed

Suggested Wording

I give devise and bequeath to the Schizophrenia Research Institute, 405 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst, NSW 2010, or its successors:
  • the sum of $______
  • the property at _______ (address)
  • the ____________ (description of item)
  • ______% of my residual estate
  • the residue of my estate

The official receipt of the Schizophrenia Research Institute shall be sufficient discharge to my executors who shall not be bound to see the application thereof.

Key Role in Global Genetics Study
 
The Australian Schizophrenia Research Bank has played a key role in a global study that investigated genetic variants associated with schizophrenia. The study replicated findings from previous genetic research and made new discoveries.
